There are 60-65 million people who own a firearm in the United States.

In 2000, about 600 people died from accidentally being shot, 230 of those under the age of 25.

In Wisconsin alone, 26 children under the age of 19 died from an accidental gunshot wound between the years of 1997 and 2002.

Owning a gun is your right, but keeping your gun locked and unloaded in a household with children is your responsibility.
